No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting The Coesville VA Medical Center Primary Care Service is recruiting a Physician to provide medical care the Main Campus and /or the West Norriton and Delaware County CBOCs. This Physician assigned to a PACT team. Physician may be asked to cover inpient RRTP, Urgent care or HBPC as needed. The duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to the following: Diagnose, tre, and manage a panel of pients. Provide medical care in an outpient setting following PACT Principles. Provide comprehensive pient-centered primary medical care. Identify acute, subacute, and chronic health problems. Use principles of risk management to identify system issues which impact pient care. Order and evalue approprie diagnostic tests. Adhere to up-to-de clinical practice guidelines for pient chronic diseases. Assures clinical care provided meets all timelines and required documention as required by VA Reviews alerts daily and have no more than 100 alerts any given time. Completes encounter notes within 48 hours

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of educion in medicine or osteophic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a Ste, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United Stes, or in the District of Columbia.

Residency Training:

Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certificion. (

NOTE:

VA physicians involved in academic training programs may be required to be board certified for faculty stus.) Approved residencies are: (1) Those approved by the Accredition Council for Gradue Medical Educion (ACGME), b) OR [(2) Those approved by the American Osteophic Associion (AOA),OR (3) Other residencies (non-US residency training programs followed by a minimum of five years of verified practice in the United Stes), which the local Medical Staff Executive Committee deems to have provided the applicant with approprie professional training and believes has exposed the physician to an approprie range of pient care experiences.
