Local Team Collaboration:
Our supportive and dynamic team of 16 physicians is well-established and has built a reputation for collaborating with other hospital departments at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery to bring the best possible quality of care to our patients. Our team is comprised of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are dependable and flexible. You can count on them to follow through. Many of us are active on hospital committees. Our involvement helps solidify our relationships with specialists and our very supportive C-suite. Enhancing the patient experience, our clinical performance nurse plays a pivotal role in assisting you throughout the care process.
Qualifications:
Board-certified internal medicine or family medicine physician Academic experience required Demonstrated excellence in inpatient teaching and clinical supervision, including bedside instruction and resident guidance, with prior academic or structured teaching experience highly valued. Proven ability to lead high-quality, efficient hospital care by driving early disposition planning, exercising sound clinical judgment around inpatient vs. outpatient needs, and partnering effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize throughput. Skilled in coordinating complex care plans and integrating consultant input while maintaining ownership of the overall care plan; experience managing patients with substance use disorders and collaborating with social work and community resources is a strong plus. United States Scheduling:
If full-time, your schedule will be 7 days on and 7 days off. The hours are 7 am to 7 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
The hospital has a closed ICU with Sound Physicians' intensivists24/7.All procedures are performed by the intensivist team and interventional radiology. We perform rounds, admissions, and discharges as well as multidisciplinary rounds, table rounds, and teach Einstein Montgomery family medicine, internal medicine, and transitional year residents. When possible, we do geographic rounding. Our hospitalist team is part of the rapid response and code team, and we're all certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. The residents will manage rapid responses and codes with your supervision until the intensivist arrives. Our team meets monthly to relay key information from administration, discuss group operations, and for general feedback. We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts. We use Cerner with Dragon and have access to our own internal informatics platform. Living and Working in
