Job Description

Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician Make a Difference in Patients' Lives! Are you a dedicated Hematology/Oncology physician looking to provide compassionate care in a dynamic, community-focused environment? Our esteemed healthcare facility is seeking a passionate and experienced provider to join our team starting July 27, 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality oncology and hematology services in a supportive setting, making a tangible impact on patients' journeys to wellness. What You ll
Do:
Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to adult patients in a rural community setting. Manage an established patient panel with diverse cases including solid tumors, benign and malignant hematology. Collaborate with a skilled team of physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and support personnel to ensure seamless patient care. Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and port access (not required but valued). Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and contribute to patient treatment planning and case discussions. Cover outpatient clinics Monday through Friday, with inpatient and call responsibilities including weekend and night shifts, ensuring continuous patient support.
Required Skills:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology. DEA certification. Minimum of 1-year clinical experience in hematology and oncology. Ability to handle a varied adult patient population with compassion and professionalism. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred). Have Skills:
Experience in rural healthcare settings. Ability to participate in tumor board discussions and collaborate multidisciplinary teams. Comfort managing infusion treatments and coordinating patient care across hospital and clinic environments.
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of Hematology/Oncology fellowship. At least 1 year of post-residency/hospital-based experience.
Other Requirements:
Current PA license or IMLC certification. Ability to obtain privileges within approximately 90 days; temporary privileges available. Willingness to cover scheduled clinic hours, weekend calls (2 weekends/month), and weeknight calls. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to safety protocols.
