Job Description

Position Summary An established healthcare organization in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Primary Care Physician with a focus on geriatrics to provide comprehensive care to an elderly population. This role emphasizes a team-based approach to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsible for the ongoing assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients' medical conditions. This includes coordinating care with specialists and overseeing hospitalizations when necessary.
Schedule & Location Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00
PM Location:
Clinic-based role with occasional local travel Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive and episodic medical assessments Manage chronic conditions and multiple co-morbidities Coordinate care with specialists and inpatient providers Participate in team meetings and care planning Provide care in clinic settings with occasional off-site visits Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution Residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Fellowship training in geriatrics preferred Active, unrestricted medical license Current DEA registration Eligibility for Medicare provider enrollment Valid driver's license Minimum of one year of primary care experience, preferably with an elderly or medically complex population Strong clinical skills in geriatric assessment and care management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively within a team Strong organizational and documentation abilities
