Job Description
The PA Primary Care Career Center was founded to match up primary care providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, and more) with organizations that provide primary care services. We connect candidates to the most compatible opportunities and communities in which to live and work. Description This Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) provider role offers primary care at our Veterans Affairs (VA) health clinic, leading multi-disciplinary teams, diagnosing and treating both chronic and acute conditions, and delivering care in a rural setting.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Maintain, in good standing, an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Maintain an unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license. Remain in good standing as a member of the Medical Staff of Hospital. Abide by the ethics of the medical profession and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Knowledge of professional medical theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques as a professional health care provider; in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance, in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
