This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility that recently relocated to a modern building housing multiple medical practices and services. The hematology/oncology practice offers the full spectrum of cancer care with a nurse navigator program, multiple tumor boards, and radiation oncology services nearby, supported by a robust staffing model including dedicated infusion nurses and patient navigators.

Hematology and Oncology Job Details:
Seeking two full-time, long-term locum tenens physicians with potential for locums-to-permanent placement Monday through Friday office hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Possible travel two days per week to outlying Somerset office (30 minutes from main campus) Complete daily hospital rounds and consults during assigned weeks Weekend hospital rounds and consults on assigned weekends (4 hours per day onsite) Oversee advanced practice providers (APPs) Handle after-hours call for clinic critical values and urgent patient matters (no in-person return required) Consulting service only•no hospital admissions required Manage 12-15 patient encounters per shift Work with comprehensive support staff including 6 infusion RNs for 16 chairs, 3 RN navigators, and oral chemo navigators Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology Require active Pennsylvania license or IMLC with Letter of Qualification Must complete Pennsylvania mandated training: 3 hours Child Abuse Recognition and 4 hours Pain Management/Opioid Prescribing 14-day credentialing timeframe Hospital arranges lodging accommodations
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
