Overview:
Due to expantion, Tower Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our hospital‑based psychiatric team. This physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult inpatients, including diagnostic evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and treatment planning in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, collegial, and committed to high‑quality inpatient psychiatric care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatient admissions, daily follow‑ups, and discharge planning Diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric conditions using evidence‑based practices Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans, including psychopharmacologic management Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and patient response to treatment Provide psychiatric intervention during crisis situations, including stabilization and de‑escalation Collaborate with nursing, social work, psychology, primary care, and other clinical disciplines Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and care coordination Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic medical record Adhere to all ethical, legal, regulatory, and organizational standards of care Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement efforts Patient Population Adolescent patients admitted for acute inpatient psychiatric treatment Patients presenting with mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance‑related disorders, and complex psychiatric and medical comorbidities
Qualifications Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Active, unrestricted medical license in the state(s) in which Tower Behavioral Health operates Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Psychiatry Current, unrestricted DEA registration
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience providing care in an adult inpatient or acute psychiatric hospital setting Experience working within multidisciplinary treatment teams Familiarity with regulatory and accrediting standards for inpatient psychiatric services
