Responsibilities:
Clinical Coverage:
Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies and upper endoscopies.
Call Coverage:
Participate in on-call rotations, providing expert consultation and treatment for gastroenterology cases.
Patient Care:
Manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and diseases. Round on unassigned patients as needed.
Qualifications:
Board Certification:
Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Fellowship:
Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship is required.
Licensing:
Must hold an active medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Certifications Required:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Hospital Privileges:
Required, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 45-60 days.

Consultation Role:
The Gastroenterologist will consult on both inpatient and outpatient cases, providing specialized care in gastrointestinal diseases.
Holidays:
Coverage may be required during major holidays, including New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
