Job Description

Executive Director - Psychiatry (Post-Acute / Skilled Nursing Facilities) Psych Health Associates Florida (Multi-Region Oversight) - Candidates MUST live in FL and have the ability to travel throughout the state. Position Overview The Executive Director of Psychiatry will serve as a senior operational leader responsible for the performance, growth, and day-to-day execution of psychiatric services across skilled nursing facilities throughout Florida. This role will oversee provider operations, facility partnerships, credentialing workflows, and financial performance, while working cross-functionally with business development, credentialing, and administrative teams to ensure seamless onboarding, strong client relationships, and operational excellence. The Executive Director will play a key role in supporting both client satisfaction and provider engagement while driving sustainable growth across the psychiatry service line. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Execution Oversee daily psychiatry operations across all assigned facilities, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery Develop and implement scalable workflows across scheduling, onboarding, and credentialing Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements Maintain a structured operational cadence (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly priorities) Financial Oversight & Performance Management Review and analyze monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements for psychiatry services Monitor provider productivity, revenue trends, and expense management Prepare performance reports and roll-ups for executive leadership Partner with finance to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability Credentialing & Administrative Oversight Support and oversee payer credentialing processes, including tracking and follow-up Partner closely with the credentialing and administrative teams to ensure timely processing and issue resolution Oversee facility credentialing workflows for all psychiatry providers Ensure compliance with all regulatory and documentation requirements Provider Operations, Engagement & Development Oversee provider scheduling and coverage coordination across all facilities Monitor provider productivity and support performance optimization Assist with employee performance reviews , coaching, and ongoing development Participate in interviewing and hiring of new psychiatry providers Serve as a key point of contact for provider engagement, support, and retention Facility Relations & Customer Experience Maintain strong relationships with facility administrators, DONs, and leadership teams Ensure high levels of responsiveness, communication, and service quality Actively engage and gather customer feedback to improve service delivery and client satisfaction Address operational or clinical concerns proactively to support retention Business Development & Growth Support Work closely with the business development team to support new partnerships and expansion efforts Ensure smooth onboarding of new facilities , including coordination across clinical, credentialing, and admin teams Identify opportunities for service expansion within existing accounts Support relationship-building efforts to strengthen long-term partnerships Staffing & Workforce Planning Oversee staffing models to ensure appropriate psychiatry provider coverage Partner with recruiting and leadership on hiring needs and workforce planning Align scheduling, productivity expectations, and facility needs Qualifications 5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably in psychiatry or behavioral health Strong understanding of skilled nursing facility (SNF) operations and post-acute workflows Experience with provider management, credentialing, and multi-site operations Financial acumen with experience reviewing P&L statements and performance metrics Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally (operations, business development, credentialing) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Core Competencies Operational leadership and accountability Strategic growth mindset Relationship-driven leadership Financial and data-driven decision making Cross-functional collaboration What Success Looks Like in This Role Psychiatry providers are fully staffed, scheduled, and supported across all facilities New facilities are onboarded smoothly with strong coordination across teams Credentialing and administrative workflows are efficient and timely Facilities report high satisfaction and consistent communication Provider engagement and retention remain strong Financial performance is tracked, understood, and improving Business development efforts are supported with seamless operational execution Base Salary (Florida Market - Behavioral Health / SNF)
Range:
$90-110,000 based on experience and skillset
Bonus Opportunity:
Up to 10% of Base Salary based on performance/productivity Travel required 50% - 50% remote

MUST be located in the state of FL
