Psychiatrist:

Evaluate the need for, plan and provide psychiatric treatment for outpatient and emergency services for the patients of the CCMHC during normal work week. Consult and collaborate with staff (case managers and therapists) in formal (SPD, treatment teams), as well as informal settings. Assist Medical Director and Executive Director in assuring that clinical staff receive appropriate clinical supervision. Assist with staff training and acts as a community liaison with the local medical community. Meet with appropriate clinical supervisor(s) to review clinical and administrative needs of the clinic. Provide supervision and guidance to Nurse Practitioner as needed. Minimum and Additional Requirements Licensed to practice medicine in SC. Completion of full residency (4 years) in psychiatry. Three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric program, two (2) of which must have been in Community Mental Health Services. Board Certification in

Ability to lift five (5) pounds. In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, you must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience.
