Job Description

Kemet Health is looking to partner with a dedicated Supervising Psychiatrist committed to improving treatment accessibility and affordability for underserved populations. This role is pivotal in leading our clinical team and ensuring the highest quality of mental health care. We are an outpatient multi-specialty healthcare organization operating eleven virtual and physical outpatient clinics nationwide and are expanding access to care in other states. We focus on providing relationship-based healthcare services. We operate a multi-lingual practice with new services being added monthly and accept multiple insurance plans. Our focus areas are listed below: Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Primary Care Endocrinology Gynecology Adults & Adolescents Outpatient care managed via telehealth We are looking for a Supervising Psychiatrist to build and lead our TMS practice in Springfield, VA. Other responsibilities include participating in our weekly treatment team meetings with all clinicians, where exigent cases are discussed, and to supervise individual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. This position has the potential to grow in financial and professional scope, with a path to take on a higher leadership role within the organization. Location:
Virtual (fully remote via telemedicine) The Supervising Psychiatrist works closely with the clinical team to provide oversight, mentorship, and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services.
Responsibilities:
TMS Clinical Leadership:
In-office responsibilities one day a week for two to four hours creating treatment plans for new/existing TMS patients, while on-call in rare emergent cases other days. Lead weekly treatment team meetings involving all clinicians to discuss complex and urgent cases. Provide clinical supervision and support to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and other mental health providers. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and best practices. Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of mental health services provided. Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives.
Patient Care:
Provide direct psychiatric evaluation and management for patients as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Education and Training:
Mentor and educate clinical staff on best practices, new treatments, and developments in psychiatry. Facilitate professional development opportunities for the clinical team.
Administrative Duties:
Assist in developing clinical protocols and guidelines. Contribute to policy development and strategic planning for mental health services. Liaise with external stakeholders, including insurance providers and regulatory bodies, as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree specializing in Psychiatry (Required) Board Certified Psychiatrist (Required) Active and unrestricted medical license (Required) Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry (Required) Experience in supervising and leading clinical teams (Required) Active Virginia License (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Maryland (Preferred) Private Insurance Paneling Experience with telemedicine and remote supervision Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems Additional certifications or specialization in areas such as child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, or geriatric psychiatry
