Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist, Employed, Academic Affiliation

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (General) - Behavioral Heath Group known as a health provider focused on the highest level of care with a personal touch is seeking an adult psychiatrist to join the inpatient team Full time, Monday - Friday (days) with rotational call coverage of 1:5. You will enjoy working alongside a collegial and talented multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers and mental health workers. Your work schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime business hours. Facility is a well-respected university-affiliated teaching hospital that features 24 psychiatry beds and 15 addiction medicine beds. You conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and make treatment and medication recommendations. You may also provide psychotherapy to patients during your meetings with them. Forming excellent provider-patient alliances is central to your work. You are there for patients when they are most symptomatic, and you support them through many different phases of life - much like a primary care doctor does.
