Job Description

Brown University Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Glaucoma Specialist to join our well-established and collaborative Ophthalmology department in Providence, Rhode Island. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a dynamic, academically affiliated environment with access to advanced surgical facilities and a strong referral network. The selected physician will join a team of 12 ophthalmology providers delivering a comprehensive blend of primary eye care and specialty services, with a focus on the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. Clinical responsibilities include both outpatient care and surgical intervention, with the opportunity to practice at two fully equipped surgical centers in Providence, RI and Attleboro, MA.
Academic Opportunities:
Active involvement in a residency program with Brown-affiliated medical students Opportunity to teach and mentor Physician Assistant students during clinical rotations Strong emphasis on academic engagement, education, and mentorship
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive base salary: $225,000 - $325,000, plus RVU-based productivity incentives Three-year employment agreement Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, CME allowance, and malpractice coverage Potential sign-on bonus and retention bonus Generous paid time off and professional development support
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Fellowship training in Glaucoma required Eligible for or active Rhode Island medical licensure (required) Massachusetts medical licensure (preferred) This is an outstanding opportunity for a glaucoma specialist seeking a balanced clinical and academic career within a leading health system.
