In this vital role, you will deliver inpatient and emergency department urology services on a 24-hour call basis, ensuring seamless coverage for adult and geriatric patients. You will perform diverse procedures including ureteroscopy, laparoscopic surgeries, nephrectomies, and incontinence procedures, working independently as no other urologists will be present during your assignment. The position supports your professional growth within a trauma-designated Level II hospital equipped with onsite lab and x-ray facilities, utilizing Epic EMR. Candidates must possess strong surgical skills, experience with intraoperative ultrasound, and competence in trauma-related urology procedures. The ideal applicant will be adaptable, self-reliant, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced setting. Preferred qualifications include prior hospital-based urology experience, proficiency with the specified procedures, and certification in urology. The role involves 100% adult and geriatric patient care, with an average of 15-20 patients daily and 2-5 hospital-based surgeries per weekend. The position is primarily inpatient and ED focused, with no outpatient clinic obligations. Additional requirements include successful credentialing (estimated at 60 days), adherence to all applicable licensure and certification standards, and willingness to travel as needed for assignments. The facility will reimburse travel, lodging, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rates.
