NP/PA - Interventional Radiology Clinic

Job Requirements Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well-established, Interventional Radiology Clinic in Upstate South Carolina. New grads will be considered, but 2-3 years of APP experience is preferred. Position Highlights Monday- Friday; dayshift position on-site No nights, no call, no weekends Outpatient new patient visits for patients referred for IR consult Inpatient rounds (low daily census volume) - includes follow up post-procedure inpatients and occasionally new consults Review surgical patient charts and document pre-procedure evaluation/H&P Review EKGs, labs, cardiac and pulmonary history to determine if patient is appropriate for surgery or if additional intervention is needed Review prior anesthetic history for previous anesthetic complications Review home medications and follow approved protocols for pre-surgery medication administration instructions Potential for opportunity to perform basic IR procedures (i.e. paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture) Peer-to-peer reviews with insurance companies that require peer-to-peer review before procedure can be authorized/scheduled Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary $3,500 annual CME allowance + 5 paid CME days PTO package Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits Retirement plan options Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage
