We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Obstetrics and Gynecology physician for a locum tenens opportunity in a supportive and dynamic inpatient setting near Franklin, Tennessee. This is a call-only position, providing excellent work-life balance and the potential for ongoing assignments.

Call-only coverage Average call response time: 30 minutes Beeper call with an average of 2 consults, admissions, and callbacks per 24 hours

Patient Care:

Average deliveries: 140 per year Unassigned patient rounding

Facility Details:

Level IV Trauma Center Level I Pediatric care 16-bed OB/GYN department

Support Team:

2 RNs per shift No advanced practice providers or office staff required

Skills and Responsibilities:

The role encompasses a wide range of OB/GYN skills, including:

Obstetrics:

Management of low-risk and high-risk pregnancies Fetal heart rate interpretation and basic OB ultrasounds Routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs Repair of 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations

Gynecology:

Office procedures such as IUD insertion/removal, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP Surgical gynecology, including laparoscopic and major operative cases

Requirements:

Active Tennessee medical license Board certification or eligibility in

Obstetrics and Gynecology Certifications:

ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and EFM Must have TN Medicaid enrollment or eligibility
