Job Description

Cardiac Device Specialist Job Overview This position supports a high‑volume cardiology and electrophysiology practice by providing advanced, hands‑on management of implantable cardiac devices. The role is office‑based with no direct patient contact and focuses on device interrogation, remote monitoring interpretation, troubleshooting, documentation, and provider collaboration across two device clinic locations. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with implantable cardiac devices and be comfortable functioning independently in a fast‑paced device clinic environment. Key Responsibilities Review, interpret, and manage remote transmissions and alerts from implantable cardiac devices (approximately 200 per week) Perform daily device event analysis, identifying clinically significant arrhythmias, device performance issues, and battery or lead concerns Support in‑office device clinic operations, assisting with workflows for up to 35 device patients per day Conduct detailed device interrogations, including pacemakers and other implanted cardiac rhythm devices Troubleshoot remote monitoring systems, connectivity issues, and transmission failures Communicate abnormal findings, trends, and actionable events to electrophysiology providers and nursing staff Provide device‑related education and follow‑up guidance to patients via phone when needed Schedule device clinic visits, remote follow‑ups, and escalation appointments Complete accurate EMR documentation, billing, and charging for device services Maintain organized, compliant records for device checks, alerts, and clinical communications Operate independently while managing a high volume of device data and clinic activity Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands‑on experience in a cardiac device clinic or electrophysiology environment Demonstrated experience managing implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers and related technologies) Strong working knowledge of cardiac rhythm management and electrophysiology principles Proficiency with remote monitoring platforms and EMR systems Ability to interpret device data and recognize clinically significant events BLS and/or ACLS certification IBHRE certification (CCDS or CCSDS) required Work Environment & Schedule On‑site, office‑based role supporting two device clinic locations No direct bedside patient care Fast‑paced, high‑volume cardiology and electrophysiology setting

approximately 8:30 AM-3:00 PM Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
