Job Description

The Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in partnership with Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Texas Children's Hospital North Austin located in Austin, TX. The North Austin campus, opened in 2024, is a 52-bed, 365,000-square foot inpatient hospital and an adjacent 170,000-square foot outpatient facility offering a full suite of specialties and subspecialties. Austin presents a clear and compelling opportunity to extend Texas Children's mission to a large and growing population of children and women where there is currently a need for programmatically integrated healthcare. Texas Children's presence in Austin helps deliver regional coordination of care and is synergistic to the core services offered at our Texas Medical Center campus in Houston.
Highlights:
  • Primarily clinically focused faculty position with a strong emphasis on patient care.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the hospital and its services.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to initiate, build, and expand innovative clinical programs.
  • Provide comprehensive care across the full spectrum of gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition in both outpatient/ambulatory and inpatient consultative settings.
  • Practice with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with physicians within the division, supported by the broader expertise across system campuses.
  • Perform general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, along with associated interventions. Minimum Qualifications
  • Successfully completed a Fellowship Program in Pediatric Gastroenterology
  • Board certification (or Board eligible) in Pediatric Gastroenterology is required
  • 2+ years of experience in Clinical Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition
