Job Description

Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) for a full-time locum opportunity in New Braunfels, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CAAs and Anesthesiologist Assistants looking to work in a high-acuity, multi-specialty clinical environment alongside a dynamic anesthesia care team. Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Responsibilities Provide anesthesia services across general, orthopedic, gynecologic, and ENT surgical cases Support cath lab procedures including atrial fibrillation ablations, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), and ICD implants Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia care plans Administer and monitor general and regional anesthesia intraoperatively Manage hemodynamic stability and respond to intraoperative changes across a diverse case mix Collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, and perioperative nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Requirements Current CAA certification (NCCAA) required Active Texas licensure or ability to obtain Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Experience across general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, and cardiac/cath lab cases strongly preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-specialty surgical environment Strong clinical judgment and team collaboration skills Schedule Full-time locum engagement 4x10 shifts — non-consecutive days Full-time availability required Job Highlights Diverse, high-volume case mix spanning surgery and cardiology Cath lab exposure including A-fib, TEE, and ICD procedures Work in a collaborative, well-equipped multi-specialty facility Consistent full-time schedule with long-term potential Why Join Vigilant Healthcare Solutions?
