Shifts:
Day, Swing, Night, Weekends Patient Population and Volume Adult and pediatric ED patients (pediatrics ≈ 9%) Daily census ≈ 160 patients Annual ED volume: 58,520 visits EMS arrivals: 23% Admission rate: 22.2% Transfer rate: 2% Case mix: General emergency medicine Average physician productivity: 2.1 patients/hour Facility and Systems ED beds: 46 treatment rooms Additional care areas: 10 vertical care areas + 10 hallway beds Trauma designation: Level IV (pending state approval)

Compensation & Benefits Rate:
TBD Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance: covered Required Qualifications Active Texas medical license or active IMLC eligibility Board certified in Emergency Medicine Emergency department experience required Texas-based candidates preferred for locum coverage Locum-to-perm and permanent interest highly desired APP candidates must have ED experience; EM fellowship preferred for APPs Clinical Responsibilities Provide physician coverage in the ED Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency presentations including acute and critical cases Perform standard emergency medicine procedures Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams Document all encounters in Meditech Deliver evidence-based emergency care
