GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The program physician will meet patients who are addicted to opiate drugs and who are 18 years or older. The program physician will justify that a patient is medically fit to participate in a treatment program. A physical examination is mandated at admission. The Program Physician will collaborate with an evidence-based clinical team, counseling services, and local community services to offer patients the greatest opportunity for sustained recovery and quality of life.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Full or Part-Time (no weekends) On-site services.
  • Participate in the patient in-take process, treatment plans, adjusting patient medication, and dismissal of patients currently in treatment
  • Physical Examinations when necessary
  • Must follow federal, state, county guidelines, rules, regulations, and Company policies and procedures
  • Must keep all patient information strictly confidential as governed by federal and state laws.
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory
  • An active and current Texas Medical license without discipline and completed residency
  • One-year experience in the narcotic treatment field
  • DEA License
  • Texas ID Roles and Responsibilities Proficient in the following areas: 1) patient service and support 2) written and verbal communication 3) finishing tasks in a timely manner, meeting deadlines 4) stress management skills 5) willingness to use computer and electronic signature pad when necessary 6) handles pressure in a professional manner.
Salary Range:
$110-$170 hour
  • Negotiable depending upon degree of experience, knowledge, skill, ability, and qualifications.
  • Salary is competitive and can be negotiated depending upon experience and training
Flexible Hours Pay:
$110.00 - $170.00 per hour
