Job Description

Southwest Urgent Care - Telfair Sugar Land is looking for a part-time retired or semi-retired MD or DO who is interested in working in a low-volume urgent care setting with a light and manageable patient load. This position is ideal for a physician who wants to stay clinically active without the stress of a high-volume urgent care, ER, or hospital environment. Our clinic has a slower pace, supportive staff, and a comfortable outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat urgent care and family medicine patients See sick visits, follow-ups, minor injuries, physicals, and basic urgent care complaints Order and interpret basic labs, X-rays, EKGs, and CLIA-waived testing when appropriate Perform basic minor procedures when needed Document patient visits in the EMR Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care Work with clinic staff to maintain smooth patient flow
Qualifications:
Active Texas MD or DO license required Board certification is not required Urgent care, family medicine, internal medicine, or ER experience preferred Retired or semi-retired physicians are encouraged to apply Must have good communication skills and a patient-centered approach Comfortable working in an outpatient clinic setting
