Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking per diem house physicians to join our team. This role will be a per diem, hourly position. House Physician Job Responsibilities:
The House physician will provide direct hands-on care to patients within the limits of credentials granted by the Medical Staff of Inova in recognition of advanced training and experience in this field Additionally, they will adhere to patient care and admission criteria policies and procedures of the Department of Medicine. Communicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations. Maintains an orderly, safe and clean environment. Ensures rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies for procedures. Assists in the development, review and implementation of policies/procedures. Exhibits excellent, clear communication skills.
House Physician Additional Requirements:
Work schedule: varying shifts
Education:
current resident in good standing in internal medicine program
Experience:
3rd or 4th year medical residents
Certification:
must be able to provide a letter of good standing
