Job Description

The University of Virginia Department of Psychiatry is currently seeking a part-time (per diem) Child Psychiatry Physician to join our team. This provider will work on an as-needed basis, less than 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for children and adolescents with a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and integrate mental health services with other medical disciplines. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and respect for all patients, staff, and students.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Valid state medical license. Demonstrated expertise in clinical care, teaching, and research in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading a team and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Commitment to diversity and inclusivity in healthcare.
