29th June - 30th September Job Summary We're recruiting an experienced Consultant Urologist to join a high‑quality urology service, delivering comprehensive, patient‑centred care. You'll contribute across general urology, diagnostics, outpatient clinics, day‑case procedures and specialist pathways, depending on service needs. This role suits a Consultant Urologist with at least six months NHS experience who is committed to delivering safe, efficient and compassionate care, and who enjoys contributing to service development, teaching and innovative ways of working within a forward‑thinking clinical environment. About You You're a GMC‑registered Consultant Urologist who enjoys working in a busy and varied clinical setting. You take pride in delivering patient‑centred, evidence‑based care and communicate confidently with patients and colleagues across the multidisciplinary team. You bring strong diagnostic and operative skills, value service improvement and enjoy contributing to a collaborative and supportive urology service. Key Responsibilities Support urology outpatient clinics, providing specialist assessment, diagnostics and follow‑up care Undertake day‑case and inpatient operating across core urology practice and specialist pathways, where appropriate Deliver evidence‑based management of conditions including prostate disease, bladder dysfunction, renal stones and urological cancers Provide clear information and advice to patients, carers, GPs and wider healthcare partners Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with service and professional standards Work closely with CNS teams, oncology colleagues and wider MDT members to support smooth patient pathways Contribute to audit, CPD, teaching and ongoing service development Essential Skills & Experience Full GMC registration with a licence to practise Minimum six months recent NHS experience Broad experience across general urology, including outpatient care, diagnostics and surgical activity Evidence of continuous professional development Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Compassionate, patient‑focused approach Desirable Skills & Experience Interest in subspecialties such as Uro‑oncology, endourology, functional urology or stone disease Experience contributing to service development or training Involvement in research, audit or quality improvement initiatives Benefits of Working with Medacs Healthcare Competitive pay with weekly payroll Flexible working options 24/7 support from our dedicated team Access to CPD and training opportunities Opportunities across NHS and private sector settings Referral bonuses and loyalty rewards About Medacs Healthcare Medacs Healthcare is a leading healthcare staffing agency, trusted by the NHS and private sector for over 30 years.
