Job Description

Join a high-performing Emergency Medicine team at a well-supported Level III Trauma Center serving Kennewick and the greater Tri-Cities region. We seek a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced, collaborative ED. Schedule 9-hour shifts: 5:30 AM-2:30 PM, 1:30 PM-10:30 PM, 9:00 PM-6:00
AM Department Overview Team:
6+ EM physicians and 7.5+
EM APPs Coverage:
27 physician hours/day; 22 APP hours/day Annual ED volume: 24,440 ED configuration: 21 beds, 6 fast-track beds, 14 ICU beds Admission rate: 10.8%; transfer rate: 1.5%
Level III Trauma Center Diagnostics & Support Imaging:
in-house CT, bedside ultrasound routinely used by EM physicians; MRI on-call overnight Specialty support: Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology (including cath lab), OB/GYN, Obstetrics, Podiatry Compensation & Benefits 1099 contract at $315 per hour Paid malpractice coverage, including tail coverage Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care across a broad spectrum of acute conditions Respond to all codes, including neonatal resuscitation Perform evaluations, order/interpret diagnostics, and initiate evidence-based treatment plans Use bedside ultrasound per department standards Collaborate with APPs, hospitalists, specialists, and nursing staff to optimize patient flow and outcomes Complete accurate, timely documentation for all patient encounters Qualifications Completion of an Emergency Medicine-accredited residency preferred ABEM or AOBEM board-certified or board-eligible required Experienced Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with substantial EM experience will be considered Required certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-acuity environment
