General Surgery Physician Clarksburg, WV (Locum Tenens)

Position Overview:

We have an immediate need for a full-time locum General Surgeon to provide services for our veteran population at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in veterans lives while experiencing the unique beauty of Appalachian Mountains.

Scope of Care :

Physician shall be responsible for providing

GENERAL SURGERY

Physician care including, but not limited to:

Clinic Responsibilities :

Physician shall be present on time for any scheduled clinics/surgeries start times as documented by physical presence in the clinic or OR at the scheduled start time.

Communication of Test Results :

Mechanisms must be in place to provide notification of test results for patients receiving care in accordance with VHA Directive 1088, Communicating Test Results to Providers and Patients.

Medications :

Physician shall follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients. Discharge education : Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all

clinical or surgical patients. Must have completed a residency in General Surgery and be Board Certified/Board Eligible by ABS. Credentialling and onboarding takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
