Videos Duties Help Fort Rucker, Wiregrass VA outpient clinic provides primary care and specialty health services, including vision care (optometry), laborory services, and more. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package . This is a telehealth position for the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System and its Community-Based Outpient Clinics (CBOCs). Staff will examine, diagnose, and medically tre disorders, diseases, deformities, or injuries of the foot and ankle in accordance with evidence-based practice, VHA standards, established clinical methods, and specialty-specific management guidelines.DUTIES:
Manages outpients in a telehealth setting to manage pients with general, adult podiry specific diseases and conditions. Provide podiry telemedicine to pients increased risk for ampution who are assigned to rural and/or highly rural VA clinics. Work collaborively with intermedie care technician(s) (ICT) (or equivalent personnel) and/or other departments to ensure comprehensive management of the high-risk pient. Tele supervises basic foot care, including basic wound care, and be committed to limb preservion to rural and/or highly rural high-risk pients. Manage outpient consults in a timely manner. Manage podiry Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT) clinics to include management of clinic modificions and/or clinic closures as necessary. Provide approprie tele supervision of ICTs in all care settings. Complete all medical records in accordance with Bylaws, Rules, and Regulions of the medical staff. Coordine transfer of specialty-specific pients from/to other hospitals or clinics if necessary. Collabore with other departments and sections including, but not limited to, specialists, nursing staff, social services, utilizion management, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to coordine the care. Maintain an unrestricted medical license. In addition, when approprie, the physician will also perform the following: Participe in quality improvement and/or research of High-Risk Eye and Limb Preservion Program (HELPP), Office of Rural Health (ORH) activities. Adhere to allHELPP ORH
da and metrics reporting requirements. Attend all scheduled meetings as requested by the stion, ORH or HELPP leadership. Develop and maintain good working relionships with other hospital departments and administrion.Work Schedule:
