The Podirist is a specialty professional in the care of Podiry. The podirist will evalue and tre pients for any disease which need surgical/Podiry diagnosis and/or trement to achieve palliion or cure. The Podirist will have assigned OR time and clinic time. Surgical Department strives to maintain a safe working environment, in which we identify and address issues and concerns as they rele to safety and well-being within the Podiry Section. Major duties include, but not limited to: Administrive duties designed by the Chief of Surgery. Duties involving preventive medicine, emergency preparedness, Joint Commission, and other internal and external health systems requirements deemed by the Chief of Surgery. Supervision and training of Surgical Residents, other trainees, and physician extenders. Provide fair and equitable on-call services during daytime, after-hours, weekends, and holidays based on a mutually agreed upon and pre-determined schedule. Demonstre the ability to rele to internal and external customers, maintain the confidentiality of pient/employee informion, and to function/work in a safe manner, as well as demonstring an on-going commitment to and understanding of the Medical Center's Performance Improvement program. Other duties including but not limited to providing after hour call coverage, committee assignment, quality improvement, and research.

Approved residencies are:

(1) Those approved by the accrediting bodies for gradue medical educion, the Council on Podiric Medical Educion, in the list published for the year the residency was completed, or (2) Other residencies and training experiences, or their equivalents, which the local Professional Standards Board determines to have provided an applicant with approprie professional training. ~AND~ Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice Podiry in a Ste, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United Stes or in the District of Columbia.

Physical Requirements:

Applicants must meet physical standards for the position. A physical examinion prior to placement is required. This is a designed drug testing position. After appointment, you subject to random testing for illegal drug use. Requires lifting 15-44 pounds; pushing (approx. 2 hours); reaching above shoulder; use of fingers and both hands; walking and standing from 3-5 hours and kneeling. Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordinion simultaneously. Must have depth perception and ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of colors. Hearing aid is permitted.
