Job Description

Starting salary of $185,000 reflects first-year compensation for a surgical podiatrist. Additional compensation opportunities may be available based on prior experience and training. Valley Foot and Ankle Specialty Providers (VFASP) in Fresno is seeking an exceptional, full-time podiatrist from an accredited program to join our rapidly growing practice. Candidates must have begun the process of obtaining a California medical license. Our ideal colleague is motivated, entrepreneurial, and clinically driven, while remaining respectful and compassionate toward patients and staff. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with fellow physicians to provide comprehensive, high-quality podiatric care. The role offers a balanced mix of clinic and hospital responsibilities, along with opportunities to expand care across LTC communities, nursing homes, home healthcare, and wound care centers. VFASP has earned a strong reputation within the Fresno medical community. Although our practice maintains a high patient volume, our schedules are intentionally structured to preserve meaningful physician-patient interaction. Surgically, our group is well established with the major hospital systems in Fresno and Clovis. Providers routinely round on consults and perform approximately 15+ surgeries per week, including but not limited to ankle arthroscopy, lateral ankle stabilization, foot and ankle fusions, fracture repair, tendon and muscle lengthening, diabetic limb salvage, muscle and skin flaps, and skin grafting. We have been intentional in building a supportive, team-oriented culture, resulting in a collaborative, approachable, and hardworking group of professionals. This position is an excellent opportunity for a podiatrist seeking long-term growth, autonomy, and mentorship under physicians who operate with a true "team-first" philosophy. We recognize that many podiatrists are stretched thin and undercompensated — this is not that environment. We value our providers and believe fair, competitive compensation is essential to a healthy workplace culture. Fresno, the 5th largest city in California, offers outstanding dining, nightlife, and community amenities, while still maintaining the feel of a smaller city. With a significantly lower cost of living (median home prices around $200K compared to $630K in Los Angeles and $1.2M in San Francisco), Fresno is an excellent place to build a career, raise a family, and enjoy access to parks, lakes, and outdoor recreation. This role is ideal for podiatrists with a strong desire to sharpen their clinical and surgical skills, make a meaningful impact, and grow within a supportive practice. Motivated, hardworking new graduates are encouraged to apply.
