Job Description
About the Opportunity Apex Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking a skilled and motivated Podiatrist to join our growing team in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a unique opportunity offering a clear pathway to partnership and potential ownership within a well-established and expanding practice. We are committed to delivering high-quality, personalized foot and ankle care while providing physicians with clinical autonomy, strong support, and long-term growth opportunities. Compensation Competitive base salary $180,000 - $200,000, plus a 30%-40% production incentive after reaching 1.5x-2x base salary earned, plus a $10,000 - $20,000 retention bonus after 1 year.
Qualifications:
DPM degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine. Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program. Active California podiatry license (or eligible). Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. Perform in-office and surgical procedures as indicated. Manage wound care and diabetic limb preservation. Interpret imaging and diagnostic studies (X-ray, labs, clinical findings). Prescribe medications, orthotics, and therapy plans. Educate patients on prevention, treatment options, and long-term care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referring providers. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation. Participate in hospital rounding and provide call coverage on an alternating weekend schedule. Core Skills Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making ability. Knowledge of medical, legal, and ethical standards of care. Ability to manage complex cases and develop treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (frequent lifting up to 25 lbs).
