Job Description

Franciscan Health Dyer Campus 24 Joliet St Dyer, Indiana 46311 The Franciscan Health Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Podiatry Resident Physician provides patient care as directed by their Program Director and Immediate Supervising Physician. The resident will be responsible to the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and Program Director of their respective Program, with the goal to become a highly skilled, competent, compassionate, and Board-Eligible physician.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Compose or dictate admission, progress, and procedure notes and discharge summaries. Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical, and psychosocial status. Order tests, examinations, medications, and therapies. Perform history and physical examinations of patients. Perform hospital rounds and present medical problems and treatments of patients as a method of inpatient care and medical education. Perform procedures and surgeries under the privileges of an attending physician under direct or indirect supervision, as appropriate to PGY level and discipline. Provide patient education and counseling covering health status, test results, disease processes, and discharge planning. Qualifications Required Doctorate M.D or D.O Physician License (DR) - State Licensing Board
