Job Description
Provide 1:1 clinical supervision of residents and medical students or significant involvement with each resident when supervising. Attend GMEC committees, conferences, etc. as requested by the Chair or Program Director Participate in ad hoc GME activities. Complete monthly resident evaluations within 1 week of the end of their rotation. Attend educational sessions, - M&M conferences, Journal Clubs, visiting professors, etc. Provide minimum of 2 didactics per year. Participate in semi-annual Clinical Competence Committee processes. Participate in departmental simulations and research activities. Faculty member must be able to obtain hospital privileges at a KUSM-Wichita affiliated hospital (Ascension Via Christi Hospital or Wesley Medical Center). Board Certified in Anesthesiology (or actively pursuing such certification if less than 4 years from the end of residency). Demonstrated didactic and intra-operative teaching skills. Knowledgeable of ACGME residency requirements.
