Podiatry & Wound Care Location:
Muskegon, MI Schedule:
Full-Time or part-time available Monday-Friday Make a Difference in Healing and Limb Preservation We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry and wound care practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on patient care and takes pride in helping patients heal from complex wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, post-surgical wounds, and lower extremity conditions. Our practice serves a large diabetic and wound care population, and you will play a critical role in supporting treatment plans that improve healing, mobility, and quality of life. What You'll Do Assist providers during wound care evaluations and procedures Perform wound cleansing, dressing changes, and treatment room preparation Apply advanced wound care products and dressings under provider direction Document wound measurements, progression, and treatment plans accurately Prepare patients for debridement procedures and other office-based treatments Assisting in sterile procedures and in office surgeries Maintain sterile technique and infection-control standards Coordinate referrals, imaging, vascular studies, and follow-up care Assist with diabetic foot exams and preventative care services Support efficient clinic flow while delivering exceptional patient experiences Preferred Experience We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in: Wound care clinics Podiatry Vascular surgery Orthopedics Home health Skilled nursing facilities Diabetic patient care Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred Minimum 1 year of clinical experience Experience with wound care or dressing changes strongly preferred Excellent documentation and EMR skills Strong attention to detail and patient communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Why Join Our Team? Pay:
$17.97 - $25.67 per hour
