Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Podiatrist to join our outpatient healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert foot and ankle care, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of podiatric conditions. Your energetic approach will help improve patients' mobility and quality of life through comprehensive assessments, innovative treatments, and patient education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to delivering exceptional foot and ankle care across diverse patient populations. Duties Conduct thorough clinical evaluations of patients presenting with foot and ankle complaints, utilizing medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, wound care, orthotic prescriptions, or surgical interventions when necessary. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Perform procedures including suturing, ingrown toenail removal, and other minor surgical interventions following aseptic technique protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as orthopedics, endocrinology, vascular interventional radiology, and infectious disease care to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients on foot health maintenance, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications through health coaching strategies. Stay current with advancements in podiatric medicine by engaging in clinical research and continuous professional development activities. Qualifications Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification to practice podiatry in an outpatient setting. Proven experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to foot and ankle conditions. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic radiology related to podiatric care. Strong patient service skills with the ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective care plans. Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in wound care or diabetic foot management are a plus.
