Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting students' educational growth in a short-term contract opportunity focused on compensatory services. This role involves working with a diverse student population in an engaging school environment from June 15th to July 30th, 2026. Typical hours are from 7:45 AM to 2:00 PM, with specific weekly hours adjusted based on student needs. This in-person assignment offers a chance to work directly on-site—remote or virtual arrangements are not available. Your expertise in school psychology will be instrumental in providing much-needed assessments, interventions, and support services during the ESY (Extended School Year) period.
Qualifications:
Current and active Alabama School Psychologist license required Previous experience as a school psychologist in an educational setting preferred Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Flexibility to adapt to student scheduling and service demandsResponsibilities:
Deliver compensatory psychological services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement interventions Maintain accurate documentation of services provided Consult with families and school professionals as needed to best support student outcomes This contract offers a unique, rewarding opportunity to help students thrive during ESY, leveraging your professional skills in a supportive school community.
