Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact this summer as a licensed School Psychologist supporting students in Birmingham, AL during the ESY (Extended School Year) session. This contract opportunity runs from June 15th to July 30th, 2026, and focuses specifically on providing compensatory services within a dynamic school setting. What you'll bring: Active Alabama School Psychologist license (required) Previous experience in school psychology, ideally with compensatory services Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and IEP teams Commitment to student well-being and educational growth Adaptability to address varying service hours based on student needs Your role will include: Conducting evaluations and offering psychological services strictly in-person (no virtual or travel components) Delivering individualized support as outlined in IEPs and education plans Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services provided Consulting with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop appropriate strategies Advocating for inclusive practices and positive school environments Attending meetings as needed to review student progress and assessments Why consider this opportunity?
