Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students' growth and well-being as an on-site school psychologist or psychometrist. This contract opportunity serves K-12 students across both public and private school settings near Spanish Fort, AL, and offers the chance to make a real difference in students' educational journeys. The role includes itinerant assignments and campus-based work, offering variety and the potential to extend through the Extended School Year (ESY) and New School Year (NSY) based on your performance.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and active Alabama school psychology license (required); images of credentials will be requested during onboarding Experience working with K-12 students in school environments Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills Flexibility to travel between school sites (itinerant work may be assigned) Commitment to timely and complete completion of credentialing requirements Ability to connect and collaborate with educators, families, and students from diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for students in both public and private school settings Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective academic and behavioral interventions Support Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insights to student support teams Deliver counseling and guidance as needed to promote social, emotional, and behavioral wellness Maintain accurate, confidential records and adhere to compliance and ethical standards Why Consider This Position?
