Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for talented professionals passionate about supporting student success as either a School Psychologist or Psychometrist. This contract role offers meaningful work with K-12 populations and runs from March 23, 2025, through May 29, 2026, with a strong likelihood of renewal for extended school year (ESY) and next school year (NSY) based on performance. Currently seeking on-site only candidates, with a required in-person interview scheduled for April 27, 2026.
Two positions are available:
one serving a single elementary campus and the other working itinerantly within a private school cluster. The itinerant role will include multiple campuses in the area; details will be provided upon assignment. Both positions require 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Alabama school psychology license required; candidates must provide current license documentation. Experience with K-12 caseloads. Flexibility to serve different school sites as needed (itinerant position). Ability to perform comprehensive assessments, write evaluation reports, and participate in team meetings. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and assist with eligibility determinations. Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to support student development and well-being. Develop intervention strategies and guide implementation. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Support school teams with behavioral and academic interventions. May serve multiple campuses, requiring travel between schools (itinerant only).
