Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting students by taking on a rewarding role as a School Psychologist for a full academic year. In this contract position, you will work in a dynamic school environment, partnering with a dedicated team to support a district of approximately 1,600 students, with a special education caseload of 290. The assignment runs from July 29, 2026, through May 20, 2027, and offers a steady 40 hours per week, collaborating with a second school psychologist to provide comprehensive services.
Key Qualifications:
Arizona Department of Education (ADE) certification as a School Psychologist (required) Experience working within a school setting, preferably with knowledge of special education Strong understanding of assessment tools, report writing, and development of IEPs Collaborative spirit—willingness to work closely with students, families, faculty, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organization skillsWhat You'll Do:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to inform instruction and interventions Support the IEP development process and provide behavioral, emotional, and academic interventions Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to implement strategies that promote student success Maintain thorough and confidential documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines Assist with crisis response and intervention as needed Participate in multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and response to intervention (RTI) processesPerks and Advantages:
