Jul 14, 2026 Job Description Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals. The school psychologist is responsible for improving the educational experiences of students who demonstrate learning difficulties and enable them to benefit from their instructional program Collaborates and consults with parents, teachers and District personnel in designing, implementing and evaluating interventions at individual, school and district levels. Evaluates needs of children who may be eligible for special education services. Conducts assessments to identify and develop Individual Education Plans. Observes children in classroom, at play, evaluates student records and consults with parents, school personnel and administrators. Participates in the planning of remedial classes and testing programs designed to meet students' needs.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Certified as a school psychologist in the State of Arizona. Minimum - Master's degree from an accredited college or university, school psychology training program a plus Knowledgeable / experienced with Individual Evaluation Plans and IDEA programs commensurate with Federal and Arizona State special education regulations Pre-K through 12th grade. Experienced in administering, scoring and assessing psychological testing. No convictions for felonies or crimes against children.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
