A full-time school psychologist opportunity is available in Mesa, AZ, serving multiple elementary and high schools within a mid-sized public school district. The assignment runs from early August through late May, aligned with the traditional academic calendar. Candidates should be prepared to manage caseloads of approximately 60 students, primarily focusing on comprehensive evaluations conducted with pen and paper methods.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting psycho-educational assessments and evaluations for students across elementary and high school age groups Collaborating with school staff and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Utilizing district technology tools, including Google Suite and student information systems Managing workload independently and efficiently, demonstrating a proactive, self-starting approach Preferred qualifications: Active Arizona Department of Education certification as a school psychologist IVP fingerprint clearance card Experience with Synergy or similar student information systems is highly desirable Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to district policies and processes This position involves assignments at various schools, ranging from part-time schedules of 3-5 days per week to full-time roles. Assignments may include elementary schools such as Brenton, Guerro, Lowell, Porter, Taft, and also Westwood High School. Some roles may involve private day placements requiring specialized skills. Working within a Google-suite enabled district, candidates will benefit from familiarity with digital collaboration and documentation platforms.
