Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education by providing critical support to students and staff as a School Psychologist on a contract basis. Positioned in a vibrant school environment near Surprise, AZ, this role offers you the opportunity to foster student well-being and contribute your expertise to promote positive learning outcomes. What you'll bring: Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist Master's or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field Familiarity with assessments, interventions, and recommendations to address students' social, emotional, and academic needs Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures Excellent communication and consultation skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage caseloads, evaluations, and individualized education plan (IEP) documentation efficiently Key responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret results to assist in eligibility determinations and educational planning Develop tailored intervention strategies and provide crisis intervention as needed Serve as a resource for teachers and parents, offering guidance on behavioral management, classroom supports, and social-emotional development Collaborate as an active participant in student support teams, IEP meetings, and other multidisciplinary committees Maintain accurate and confidential records following compliance standards and district policies Assist in designing and implementing programs aimed at prevention and early intervention This contract position provides a dynamic environment where you can make a direct difference while building valuable professional experience in K-12 settings.
