Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary-aged students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic academic environment near Tempe, AZ. This in-person opportunity is structured as a full-time contract position, requiring 40 hours per week on site. You'll be a valued partner in fostering students' educational and emotional growth, collaborating closely with teachers, families, and school staff.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution Valid state certification or eligibility for School Psychologist credential Experience with psychological assessments, interventions, and behavior management in a school setting Strong communication and collaboration abilities, particularly with young children Ability to adapt to varying caseloads (specific caseload details will be provided soon)
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement interventions for students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs Support the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams Provide guidance and counseling for students, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and special education staff to facilitate student success Maintain accurate, confidential records and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
