Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting students in a dynamic educational setting near Brentwood, CA. Use your expertise to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally by conducting assessments, facilitating interventions, and collaborating with staff and families.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Current California PPS Credential in School Psychology (or eligibility) Experience with psychological and educational assessments Strong skills in counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention Familiarity with IEP development and special education laws Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to identify students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs Participate in multidisciplinary IEP teams and provide data-driven recommendations Provide individual and group counseling for students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges Collaborate with school staff and families to design strategies and support interventions Support crisis response and intervention efforts as needed Offer consultation and training to educators and caregivers on topics like behavior management and mental health Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in line with school procedures and legal guidelines
