Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled professional to support a preschool assessment team, working with schools in the Citrus Heights, CA area. This role is specifically designed to cover a maternity leave through October 16, 2026, providing vital psychological services for the new school year (NSY).
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid credential or licensure as a School Psychologist Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably at the preschool or early childhood level Strong assessment and evaluation skills, particularly with young children Familiarity with multi-disciplinary teams and collaborative approaches Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for preschool-aged students as part of the school's assessment team Interpret data and share results with educators and parents to support individualized education planning Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other specialists to support student growth and address developmental concerns Guide interventions, provide consultation, and participate in eligibility meetings Maintain detailed, compliant reports and records in a timely manner Support families in understanding assessment outcomes and available resources This contract assignment offers the chance to make a meaningful impact during a critical time, working alongside talented colleagues in a supportive educational environment.
