The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing psychological services to students, including assessment, intervention, and counseling. This role requires a strong understanding of child development and the ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' mental health and academic success. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and social development. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to meet the needs of students with various challenges. Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support students dealing with emotional or behavioral issues. Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment for all students. Engage in crisis management to address immediate mental health concerns within the school setting. Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with school policies and regulations. Utilize knowledge of terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare providers when necessary. Support students with developmental disabilities and autism through tailored strategies and interventions. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop coordinated action plans. Skills Strong crisis management skills to effectively handle urgent situations involving student mental health. Proficient in patient assessment techniques relevant to school psychology practices. Knowledgeable in school psychology principles, including developmental milestones and educational strategies. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Proven ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment. Familiarity with medical terminology related to psychological assessment and intervention. Competent in behavior management techniques that promote positive student behavior. Skilled in documentation practices that ensure confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Ability to provide both individual and group counseling tailored to the unique needs of students.
