Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact in the educational journey of students by taking on a vital role serving as a School Psychologist in a dynamic school setting near Livermore, CA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and students to support mental health, learning, and behavioral success in a diverse student population. You will utilize your expertise in psychology, assessment, and consultation, guiding the development of effective educational plans to help students thrive academically and emotionally.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid credential or license as a School Psychologist in California Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field Previous experience working in school settings preferred Strong skills in psychoeducational assessment, intervention strategies, and counseling Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to culturally responsive practices
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations Interpret assessment results for individualized education program (IEP) teams and families Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students as needed Develop and implement evidence-based behavioral and academic plans Support crisis intervention and contribute to positive behavioral supports school-wide Offer consultation and support to educators, staff, and parents Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school/district policies This assignment presents an opportunity to work on a flexible contract basis, enhancing your professional growth and making a meaningful difference in students' lives.
