Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students and staff while working part-time as a School Psychologist in an engaging educational environment near Redwood City, CA. In this rewarding contract position, you'll contribute your expertise to help nurture academic, emotional, and social success for students, working collaboratively with educators and families. This part-time opportunity offers 20 hours per week, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments while thriving in a supportive school community.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Valid School Psychologist credential or eligibility to practice as a school psychologist Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills Experience delivering psychological services within a school setting preferred Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to develop and interpret educational and behavioral interventions Compassion for working with diverse populations
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for student eligibility and support plans Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative services to students and staff Offer recommendations and strategies to promote positive student outcomes Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment Stay current with best practices and comply with all policies and legal requirements This position places a premium on your expertise, initiative, and desire to enhance the educational experience for all students.
