Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling school-based contract position supporting students' mental health and educational success as a School Psychologist. This onsite opportunity, running from September 10th through December 18th, encompasses full-time hours (37.5 per week) at a vibrant K-8 setting. Work directly with a diverse, engaged student population (ages 5-14) with a manageable 50:1 student-to-provider ratio. Your expertise will be highly valued as you collaborate onsite with staff and families to promote positive learning environments and student well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active, current CDE School Psychologist License (required) Prior experience in K-12 school settings, preferably with elementary and middle grades Strong ability to conduct assessments, interpret data, and develop interventions Skilled communicator able to collaborate professionally with teachers, administrators, families, and students Passionate about supporting diverse learners and fostering inclusive, supportive school communities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive psychological services, including evaluations, counseling, and intervention strategies Facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and help develop goals for students with special needs Engage in crisis prevention and intervention as needed Consult with teachers and families to support student learning and mental health Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all guidelines
